Aaron ThomasAaron Thomas, holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Management and Agricultural Science, is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Management Studies at the University of the West Indies. He is also the former two time National Affairs Chairperson for the 2009-2011 term of the University of the West Indies Guild of Students, St. Augustine. Additionally, he has served as the Local Government Representative for the electoral district of Caura/Paradise/Tacarigua, from 2013-2019, where he held various impactful posts at the Tunapuna Piarco Regional Corporation. Aaron believes the Heliconia Foundation is a vehicle to lead national change by creating a society that is productive, where young professionals are given the proverbial baton as leaders of tomorrow. His vision is to serve through his brand of leadership whilst acting as an agent of change to deliver innovation, efficiency and critical thinking to the public service. He plans to use the sphere of entrepreneurship and business management to assist in alleviating poverty and inspire change in the mindset of adolescents, encouraging them to become self disciplined and reliable servant leaders. Aaron is a service-oriented, self motivated, vibrant and hardworking young man, born and raised in Tunapuna. He intends to serve his community and take it on a course of further development and sustainability. |
