Johnson SmithJohnson Smith holds a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering and has over 15 years’ experience in both the offshore (oil and gas sector) and onshore (public and private sectors) construction industries. Johnson is currently employed at a professional Consulting Engineering and Project Management Services firm and functions in the capacity of Project Manager on Historical Building Restorations, Commercial Fits and Health Care Projects. Johnson joined the Heliconia Foundation for Young Professional in 2015 and, through his dedication and participation, was appointed as Vice President of Projects and Events in 2017. He has been described as "one of the members of Heliconia dedicated to progressing Philanthropy". He continues to promote the ideals and principles of the Foundation in treating with the issues of young professionals within Trinidad and Tobago. Johnson emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community and is committed to the furtherance of community development by promoting the Foundation's three pillars of Politics, Policy and Philanthropy. He is a recreational sportsman and an avid hiker with a love for the environment, participating in numerous nature trail hikes and clean up exercises. |
